Our Sustainability Journey
Our sustainability journey starts at the farm and continues all the way to your spoon and beyond.
Farm – We work with farmers and suppliers to source our highest quality milk that makes our yoghurt the best it can be. We believe that a regenerative approach to farming can help nature to thrive and are working with our suppliers to roll out practices that are mindful of nature and reduce carbon emissions. Factory – The factories that produce our yoghurts are powered by 100% renewable electricity and we are working to reduce energy use, water consumption and waste.
Packaging – All our Skyr yogurt pots and bottles are recyclable at home. Just remember to remove the sleeve from our Skyr drink using the zipper and take off the lids from our 150g and 450g pots before recycling. [Include product images and OPRL labels].
Waste – Our Skyr products contain a best before date rather than a use by date so that you know that these products can still be safe to eat after this date, if they have been kept as recommended on pack, refrigerated between +1˚C and +6˚C max. Trust your senses - look, smell and taste the product before you waste it. We donate any surplus product which we can’t sell to support people in need in communities across the UK & Ireland. In 2024 Danone UK & Ireland donated the equivalent of 1.8 million meals.
